There are two types of mentorships available.1. Counselor Mentorships help you develop the skillful and effective use of the Scriptures in counseling change. (This page describes counselor mentorships.)2. Ministry Mentorships help you develop a counseling ministry in a community counseling center or a church-based soul care ministry.
The following seven elements are used in our mentorships based on your training goals and needs. What help do you most need is where we begin?
A. Meet Monthly with an Experienced and Certified Counselor Partner up with an experienced biblical counselor and receive hands-on, personal guidance on your cases e. (If you are seeking certification, these personal mentorship meetings can apply to all required hours of supervision.) These meetings will help you maximize your God-given outcomes in the lives of others.

Individuals over the age of 19 are eligible for any of the three levels of counselor mentorship.
For case resourcing, there are no training or certification requirements.
For case supervision, you must have completed or be currently in pursuit of completing the LCBCC Change That Sticks course or an approved equivalency. This mentorship can apply to the 15 hours of case supervision for LCBCC Soul Care Certificate or the 50 hours of supervision needed for the ACBC certificate.
For team counseling, you must have completed or be currently in the pursuit of either an LCBCC Soul Care Certificate or ACBC Certification or CCEF Certificate (or equivalency). You must also be recommended by qualified church leaders in a doctrinally sound church where you have attended and served for more than two years.
Each mentorship can be online or on-site.
For case supervision or case resourcing, you will turn in any relevant case report forms or case resource questions 24 hours in advance of the scheduled discussion time. Your personal supervision and resourcing appointments will occur twice monthly covering up to four case supervision sessions each time and as many case resourcing questions as we can cover.
For team counseling, you will facilitate the vision that the LCBCC counselor has cast in each counseling session. You will need to be consistently available for assigned counseling sessions and meetings - committing to at least 2-3 hours a week. Throughout the week you will be expected to connect with the counselee to assist them in the application of what was discussed and assigned in the session.
